MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUPS
Many don't understand grief therefore, our tendency is to attempt at going our journey alone. When you are experiencing grief, it is important to find community and connect with others to express and share your feelings. Join our confidential open on-going monthly support groups in a safe and nonjudgemental environment where sharing your experiences can help you face the future with hope.
Our recovery-oriented closed group workshops meet on a weekly basis to explore the common stages and emotions of grieving, validating that you are not going crazy while you are treading this roller coaster of emotions. Participants will receive educational materials and information on techniques for developing healthy coping behaviors and self-care.
After the death of a loved one it is natural to feel lost and unprepared for the sheer power and intensity of your grief. You will experience a range of emotions and may notice physical symptoms such as headaches, nausea, heart palpitations, difficulty eating or sleeping.
Healing from your loss takes time and work. It is necessary to mourn, which is to openly express your thoughts and feelings about the death of your loved one. Avoiding your loss or trying to stuff your feelings is not healthy and will only prolong your healing.
Sometimes it may be helpful to talk with with a professional counselor who is trained in grief management to help you work through your symptoms and life challenges after your loss. Richard Lambert Foundation counselors are here for you every step of the way.
Secular or Christian Based modalities are available at the Grief Center, meeting you where you are in your journey.
