Volunteers help make our services, support groups, and fundraising events possible. Whether you can give your time occasionally or in an ongoing role, your support helps grieving children and adults feel seen, supported, and not alone. Every volunteer makes a difference at RLF. You can too.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is a meaningful way to give back while being part of something that truly matters. At Richard Lambert Foundation, volunteers help us create welcoming spaces of support, connection, and hope for grieving individuals and families.
Whether you enjoy working with people, helping behind the scenes, supporting events, or sharing a professional skill, there are many ways to get involved. Some opportunities are occasional, while others may even be completed from home. Your time and care can make a real difference.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We offer a variety of volunteer roles to match different interests, schedules, and skill sets.
Group & Program Support
Guest Facilitators: Individuals willing to share their personal story of loss can help bring hope to participants in our group programs and speaking engagements. Hearing from others who have walked the journey of grief can be deeply meaningful.
Fundraising Support
Fundraising Events: Our special events would not be possible without our volunteers. Event opportunities may include setup, guest support, activities, cleanup, and more. This is a wonderful way to support our mission while helping create memorable community experiences.
Event/Volunteer Coordinator: Working directly with Executive Director to assist with planning and coordinating volunteers and events from early preparation through cleanup.
Behind-the-Scenes Support
Prayer Team: Join a small prayer team that responds to prayer requests for the Foundation, our mission, and the community we serve. This is a meaningful at-home opportunity for those who want to support RLF through prayer.
Yard Maintenance: Help care for our outdoor space through seasonal tasks like pulling weeds or shoveling snow.
Play Therapy Room Care: Help care for one of the most meaningful spaces in our center; our play therapy room. This is where children process grief through play, creativity, and expression.Tasks may include organizing toys, restocking supplies, sanitizing items, and helping keep the space welcoming and ready for our children.
Leadership & Development
Board Members: We welcome individuals who are passionate about our mission and interested in helping guide the growth and development of Richard Lambert Foundation.
Skilled Volunteer Roles
We also welcome volunteers with expertise in photography, nonprofit work, finance, fundraising, marketing, mental health, and grant writing.
Volunteer Screening
To help protect those we serve, volunteers are subject to a background screening.
